How to Make a Driftwood Sailboat
A nautical mantel for the summer.
I made these adorable sailboats from authentic driftwood found on the beach.
I screwed the mast into the boat and added a piece of hanger for the boom.
Then using an old piece of curtain, I slid the wire through the hem and tied the top with a knot.
The top knot even looks like a little pennant.
I put these DIY sailboats on my mantel along with some other found beach treasures.
Plus an old fisherman to watch over the sea...
All together made a great summer sailing mantel!
That looks great Susan - love your beachy mantle!
