I save a lot of jars, bottles, and thrift store salt shakers throughout the year just so I can make these amazingly easy and adorable Christmas snow globe ornaments.


Some are made with recycled jars my favorite being the Trader Joes Everything But a Bagel jar. 
Salt shakers are another favorite and I hit the mother load one day at the thrift store when I found 8 of them all the same.

If you have a ton of Mason Jars from garage sales and thrift stores then you might be looking for a few projects...  

A few supplies are all you need to update a simple Mason jar and create a beautiful light. 

Lately I've been doing a lot of creating with painting techniques. I love recycling glass jars into something unique. Today I'm turning a glass jar from the kitchen into a beautiful cement vase. 

I was completely inspired by a recent garden site email.

The email site featured a bronze wall plaque with a half of a metal pot attached to the front for plants. It was then that I decided it was something I wanted to try to make myself. Since I had such a vast collection of cabinet doors leftover from a recent store closing, I had the perfect place to begin this project. 

Recycling and creating on the cheap are  important to me for any project. These recycled DIY Halloween projects are both inexpensive and easy to make! 

This is such an easy and fun project for Halloween and if you're a fan of the vintage look then you're gonna love this recycled fabric ghost project. 
You really don't need any special supplies either.
The vintage look is amazing and these ghosts came out adorable! 
I stiffened the fabric for these ghosts like the ones I've seen made with cheesecloth but today I had a better idea that would use recycled fabric.

Today I'm sharing another easy project using recycled jars.

Do you collect anything?  I have several collections, some are vintage, some are nostalgic, and some things I collect are just plain practical.  Bottles... I collect bottles and jars. I've got shelves in my basement filled with jars and bottles and every once in a while I come up with an idea to do something with them. 

I've gathered together 5 of my favorite Mason Jar ideas for Fall.

Mason jars or recycled jars come in all shapes and sizes. 
Here are a few ideas you can use for Fall decorating or gift giving. 
#1. These tiny jars are filled with "little smelly pumpkins" and they make adorable little hostess gifts.

Stiffened burlap fabric can be used to create a beautiful rustic Spring vase for flowers. 
This project began with a scrap of burlap and a recycled pasta jar. 








First I wiped the jar down with a light coat of baby oil so the fabric would not stick to the jar.
I wrapped the burlaparound the jar being careful to create even folds of fabric then secured it with rubber bands. 
I trimmed the burlap with scissors so there was a straight edge along the top. 

Next I painted the burlap with Fusion Mineral Paint's Ultra Grip.
You can also useMatte Mod Podge. 
Besides helping paint stick to shiny surfaces, Ultra Grip is great for stiffening fabric and for decoupage.
