Repurposed Easter Bunny
Sometimes my favorite thing to do is to go down to my workshop and just create.
I start with an idea and gather pieces I think might work together... they don't always but most of the time I think they do. I call them junk creations.
Today I'm starting with a glass vase, a vintage insulator and some textured paint to create an Easter Bunny.

So every once in a while when I see something I want to copy on the internet, I try to locate the original source by doing a google image search.
Today I saw this amazing black textured vase that didn't look that hard to create and I was right!
All you need is an old vase, some paint, and a few felted pom poms!

Give Plastic Planters a Patina with Paint
I've been wanting to do this for a long time.
I saved a few good sized plastic planters from last year that I wanted to give a makeover.
I'm creating a paint treatment that will make ugly plastic pots look like they have texture and they've been out in the garden for a season.

Terra Cotta Painted Dollar Store Vase
Today's Homeroad DIY project began as an experiment.
I saw a beautiful vase in Hobby Lobby and I'm using it for inspiration today.
I wanted to see if I could come close to getting the look.
On a recent trip to the dollar store I grabbled 2 vases, one short and one tall.
You be the judge... did I come close to getting the look I was after?

Aged Metal Paint Technique
This project is the result of a little bit of experimenting with paint.
Sometimes I just love to mess around with paint and see what happens. Today's happy accident gave me the look of vintage metal on an old bowl that I was tired of being white.
Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose but today's experiment was a winner!

Fast forward to this year, we purchased a new fire pit so I had the old rusty one to either sell or upcycle.
You guessed it... I'm upcycling it!
This old fire pit made the best backyard stand planter!!
