Every once in a while I repurpose a repurposed project. Today is one of them as I turn the firecracker post I created several years ago into candle holders for the holiday weekend. 

I am repurposing a few wooden pieces and a cake  pan to create an inexpensive candle  display for the holidays. 

The idea isn't mine but the fish pattern that I'm using on everything in my outdoor space this summer is!  When I watched a video on how to decoupage candles I couldn't believe how easy it was to do... I jumped right in and got to work! 

A while back I updated a pair of hanging lights in my kitchen.

Sometimes a project comes from a very unexpected place. 

Have you ever seen a candle in a lantern that was left out in the sun? Well, now imagine a wax battery operated candle...



This was one of my favorite candle lanterns from Target. It helda battery powered candle and I had it out on the deck. Problem was I forgot to move it out of the sun and the whole thing melted into a big puddle, batteries included. Good to know it was actually made of wax but it was trash now.

Finding DIY Inspiration in the clearance aisle.

My mission this week is to get the deck ready for Spring. 
We've had a couple of beautiful days so I decided to take a thrift store trip to see if there was anything I could get to repurpose for the deck. 
I found a couple of interesting items but one very ugly piece caught my eye. 
It was big enough to use as a plant stand on the deck but definitely needed a makeover!

It came out really cute and was super easy!
