Another summer project under our belts and it all began with a few bad winters. This post has the growth of the plants we chose over 5 years too!

I will admit... I do not have a green thumb.

Here is a repurposed project you're going to love... today I'm repurposing an artist canvas into a wall hanging planter with shelves for plants.  Don't do plants? How about a shelf for craft supplies? (source)

Happy Mother's Day! You all may know that I love making things I see on the internet with my own spin on them.
Today I found something on one of my favorite sites that I was sure I could make myself in one way or another.
I am so pleased with the results and I can't wait to use it on my outdoor table this summer!

I found the coolest set of tall, skinny bottles at the thrift store

My garden is chock full of repurposed ideas for planters.

This is a public service announcement about my front porch plants... I just have to share!

It's garden time in our area! Finally!
Truth be told I'm not great with plants but I have been known to grow a nice flower garden.
Today I'm turning a great road-side find into signs for my garden.
I love using rusty tubs and found junk items in my garden and today's project is no different...

One of my favorite things to do is to try to replicate something I've seen.
I do it often with my own twist. Recently I saw an herb box I just loved and I wanted to make my own version of it.
There was one part in particular I knew I could replicate by repurposing something I already had on hand.

White vinyl fences in the backyard can be very stark.
I'm always looking for ways to decorate ours.
I've hung flags, wreaths, and baskets with an inexpensive dollar store find for years.
Today, I'm creating a planter that hangs on the fence using a repurposed candle holder from the thrift store.
It came out really cute and was super easy!

On a recent trip to the craft store I saw this package of mushrooms that I thought would be adorable with a stick in them for my plants.  Problem was that they were about $10 and I'm a little cheap so I wanted to figure out how to make them myself.

Do you have a vegetable garden?
Maybe large pots with tomato plants?
My husband and I did our best to create a modest garden space a couple of years ago when we were home.
Today I'm going to brag on my very talented daughter and and show you how she built an amazing vegetable garden on the side of their house.
Talk about garden goals!

Don't you just love it when you can change a thrift store find into something fabulous?! I sure do! Today I'm having some fun with a paint treatment that turned a few jars and terra cotta pots into perfect old world cement looking crocks.

I just love this decoupage technique and if you haven't noticed I've been using it on quite a few projects recently.  It's easy, inexpensive, and looks amazing if you use this little trick when you're doing it!

This is a very quick and easy project that anyone can do!
Today I'm recycling a few pieces I had in the workshop to create a cute repurposed planter to stick in an outdoor pot.

I couldn't help myself. When I saw this not so pretty Christmas birdhouse in the thrift store for $1.00 I had to take it home and give it a makeover.
I don't usually do makeovers just for the heck of it but this one was different.
I knew the snow on that Christmas birdhouse was perfect for a Spring makeover.
Do birds even use birdhouses at Christmas? Hmmm not in this neck of the woods. 😂

Here's a simple project using Dollar Tree stacking blocks to decorate a vase of flowers or plants for Easter.

I had several wooden egg cups leftover from another project and while passing through the workshop today I had an idea!
There was Dollar Tree floral foam on my workshop table and that was all I needed to see.
This easy and inexpensive idea looks so pretty on a small shelf and if you're a succulent lover, just anywhere is a good place!
See what I created from just a few leftover supplies.

I found this cute metal dustpan in the dollar spot at Target and couldn't wait to use it in my next project.  First, I wanted to attach a wooden crate to the dustpan, I put E6000 glue along one of the slats and the edge of the dustpan. A heavy iron held the pieces together until the glue dried.
I attached a DISC plate holder to the back of the dustpan. These are great for hanging things like plates to the wall because it allows them to lay flat against the wall. They are also removable.  I tied a length of jute through the handle and added a DIY enamelware numbered tagto the jute.
I added small terracotta pots to the crate which can be filled with faux plants or real plants if you hang it outside.  Another cute feature is that the dustpan is metaland therefore magnetic. I added a seed pac…

Here is a quick project that is easy to do with minimal cost to add to your Easter plants and flowers!
