Today I'm re-sharing an idea I came up with several years ago and used at our barbecues ever since. 

This is an easy project using recycledaluminum cans and reclaimed old wood that took only minutes and a few screws to make. 
We use this recycled caddy in the kitchen and bring out to the deck for outdoor dinners. 
I made several and sold most of them back when I had a shop. 
Some of the caddies use two recycled cans and some use four; two attached to each side of the reclaimed handle.

Fill it with silverware and napkins, the easy built in handle makes it easy to carry to wherever you need it. 

You've heard of American flag t-shirts I'm sure...
But have you heart of a t-shirt American flag?

Well you have now and I'm gong to show you how to create this easy DIY flag project. First you begin with old t-shirts, one red and one white. I pulled mine out of the donation box in the basement... repurposing at it's finest! 
I cut off the shirts about 7" up from the hem then cut strips about 1 1/2" wide in both colors. I stretched each strip until they curled a little bit.  At the same time I was also staining and distressing an old board. I made mine rectangular, you could also make it a square. Use the scraps you may already have.

I save a lot of jars, bottles, and thrift store salt shakers throughout the year just so I can make these amazingly easy and adorable Christmas snow globe ornaments.


Some are made with recycled jars my favorite being the Trader Joes Everything But a Bagel jar. 
Salt shakers are another favorite and I hit the mother load one day at the thrift store when I found 8 of them all the same. 

Good Morning Friends! Let me just start out by letting you know that I've done this project before... ten years ago!  
I made recycled boiled wool Christmas trees and sold a ton of them at the local craft fairs.  
Those green wool trees with their clothespin trunks were very popular! 
This year I inherited new recycled wool fabric and I'm making more stuffed Christmas trees this with a little twist!

Aren't these recycled denim pumpkins adorable?! And they are not hard to make! No sewing involved which is the best part! I took a little bit of several different stuffed pumpkin ideas and made these my own. The best part is that these recycled denim pumpkins were almost FREE!

The title of this post is sounding pretty strange but I'm truly not recycling cat litter or the cat box. Today I'm recycling the heavy cardboard box that holds the cat litter. 

I was completely inspired by a recent garden site email.

The email site featured a bronze wall plaque with a half of a metal pot attached to the front for plants. It was then that I decided it was something I wanted to try to make myself. Since I had such a vast collection of cabinet doors leftover from a recent store closing, I had the perfect place to begin this project.

I've done a few posts about the things I've made for our dog in the past and you can read about them below.  Today I'm creating a container for her dry dog food by recycling a large popcorn tin leftover from Christmas. 
The dog has a little corner of our kitchen with a DIY dog fence designating her area.  The sketch is one my daughter did of our dog Kody that is sadly no longer with us. 
The dry food used to be sitting out on the table but not now that we have this cute and easy to make dog food storage tin.  I spray painted the popcorn tin white with a spray chalky paint. A couple of coats was all it needed.



When the paint dried I cut out paw prints and the words DOG FOOD with my Silhouette Machine. It didn't take long to get good at this machine and now I want to add words and…

This is one of the quickest, easiest and most cost effective  recycled projects yet. 

Recycling and creating on the cheap are  important to me for any project. These recycled DIY Halloween projects are both inexpensive and easy to make! 

I just love tea towels and I buy them whenever I'm out and see cute ones.
Tea towels are not expensive and often I find the best ones at TJMaxx or Marshalls in a pack of 3 or 4. 
Where do all those old tea towels go to die? Well I'm going to show you today... first they go to the bin in my basement and then I grab the cutest ones for projects!

This is such an easy and fun project for Halloween and if you're a fan of the vintage look then you're gonna love this recycled fabric ghost project. 
You really don't need any special supplies either.
The vintage look is amazing and these ghosts came out adorable! 
I stiffened the fabric for these ghosts like the ones I've seen made with cheesecloth but today I had a better idea that would use recycled fabric.
